Julie’s beautiful artwork thrilled us. She captures our love of the earth in all its glory, and the dramatic scenes mesmerized. They let one feel the stillness of the air in hot Tuscany or the gentle breeze of a prairie afternoon. And all evoked a yearning to be there. Our tenants loved Julie’s watercolors and gave out so many compliments. Each day something different stood out, and the tenants continually changed their minds on their favorite.

I love old, small churches. And abandoned ones as in Where Have They All Gone? fascinate me. I know they hold more than what you see on the surface, and Julie’s painting gives a hint to that. The watercolor has received much praise from my friends and others who look on it. And they have to notice. Because of the size, intense colors, and dramatic scene, the painting dominates the room. Yet it gives a peaceful feeling. Other, different works of art surround it, but Julie’s picture fits, it has molded into the room, and the painting has become part of my home. Every time I look at it, I feel so happy that I made the decision to purchase Julie’s watercolor.
