Golden Fields
Original oil on hardboard
22″ x 30″
$2,200
In the wide open spaces and rolling hills of the West, the farm buildings stand out. I love the contrast of the wheat fields against the forever blue sky. And a barn adds just the right touch of a balancing red.
Red Fields
Original oil on hardboard
22″ x 30″
$2,800
My drives across eastern Washington give mile after mile of farm fields baking in summer’s heat. The reds emphasize the inescapable heat, a welcoming change–at least for a while–to Seattle’s coolness.

Lily and Buds
Original oil on hardboard
42″ x 30″

If only I could capture the heavenly fragrance of these blossoms. I plant several close to the street so passersby can take in the heady scent–and they do stop and smell … the lilies.

SOLD
Two Fuchsias
Original oil on hardboard
22″ x 30″

These delicate flowers hang from baskets everywhere in summer. I especially like the bolder colors, like these deep red and purple, in the bright summer sun.
Three Poppies in Tuscany
Original oil on hardboard
18″ x 24″
$1,800
In Tuscany, at the right time of year, poppies pop up everywhere in the countryside and give such a welcome splash of color to the rolling hills.
Two Poppies and Bud
Original oil on hardboard
24″ x 18″
$1,800
Here today, gone tomorrow. Poppies have such short lives. But, oh, the colors that dance in the wind! What cheery reds to bring indoors–in a vase or on a wall.
Three Poppies Plus
Original oil on hardboard
42″ x 30″
$3,500
Poppies have such happy, bold colors, and their large petals on wire-thin stems seem to defy nature. How can they hold those flowers up? I love playing with them in the paintings, arranging forms to tell a story. Here, they seem to be having an intimate discussion – maybe about that little one yet to open.
Still Serving
Original oil on hardboard
10″ x 15″
$450
Poppy and Petal
Original oil on hardboard
36″ x 15″
$2,500
I’m having fun here, a little bit of whimsy. What is that petal doing? Floating by? About to drop “in”? Carrying a message from above? Creating a story that you finish?
Little Red Barn
Original oil on hardboard
8″ x 6″
SOLD
Hibiscus
Original oil on hardboard
18″ x 24″
$1,500
My hibiscus bloomed in November and gave me the chance to capture its flowers in a late-year painting, a cheery reminder of blossoms to come the next year.

Trillium with Bud
Original oil on hardboard

My former house came with a profusion of trillium, and I always looked forward to their white blooms in the spring. When I moved, I took some of the plants from the yard with me, and now I continue to celebrate their flowering – in my garden, as well as in my paintings.
